Here is a my completed WEBSITE. It was created through google sites and I have been working hard on it since the beginning of the semester. Please take the time to look through it and navigate your way through my works!
Love the photo on the homepage - it creates a warm welcome into your page! The amount of writing on each of your pages is just enough, not too little and not too much which can make any site overwhelming! Your projects are clearly connected to how technology can be used in a special ed. classroom. Fabulous site - it would be a wonderful addition to your teaching portfolio!
Sarah- I like your homepage with you on your horse! Nice picture! You have a lot of information on your website but it is nicely spread out and easy to read. I like how you have links to programs that we have used in class, they are easy to click on and go to the websites. Your digital photos are fun and I like how you put more than one picture on the page! You did a great job!
Sarah, I really loved the opening quote on your website: "You're the only one who can make a difference. Whatever your dream is, go for it." I fully agree with that quote. Your digital photos were very creative and I loved the picture of you jumping with your horse. After reading your educational philosophy, I feel like we are on the same page. I agree with you that I have developed a philosophy of wanting to pursue differentiated instruction to my future students so that I can find a way to best teach each and every one of them. As a future special education teacher, that is one of the most important concepts. I agree with you that individualized attention, instruction, and care for each child is the first step to educating a student, especially one with special needs. Every child should feel confident, important, and successful. It was really great reading your website and best of luck!
Your site looks great! I really like the topic you chose for your digital story. You could definitely use that as a cool educational tool to teach students about the Titanic. You included a lot of relevant facts, and kids (especially boys) at the elementary/middle school age are always fascinated by that story. I also really liked your educational philosophy. So often I think that Special Ed. students get grouped together and get lost because the teachers either don't understand their unique needs or they are just so overwhelmed that they don't have the chance to differentiate as much as they should. It is really difficult to meet each students' individual needs, but it needs to happen! Great job!
Sarah, I like your page a lot. The consistent background colors and font make it easy to read and stay focused. I appeciated the reflections you wrote about each program you use. You made it easy to follow and the pictures added a nice touch! Good work.
Also, I forgot to mention your wikispace was awesome. As a future general ed teacher, I can use all the resources I can to better prepare me for teaching students with learning disabilities. Your web 2.0 offered tons of information. The Classroom Tools link had a wide variety of resources that all of us can use in our future classrooms!
Hi Sarah, ~~I like your blog and pic of it on your webpage. Good idea doing that. I found your link to “blogger” interesting, too. If I’d change anything, I’d may be add a bit more reflection to the blog info. Explain how it helps you as an educator to blog, reflect, etc. Nice work! Laurel
Hey Sarah! You've got a lot of great ideas on your website. I love the design - I chose the same color theme ;)and I like what you did with the "About Me" section. After reading your educational philosophy, it's clear that quote embodies who you are as an educator. I noticed a few typos, but other than that, the site is great!
